8-Month Follow Up

A 52-year-old woman requests extraction of the tooth #32 (Fig.1).  With Local anesthesia, hockey-stick incision is made, reflected mucoperiosteal flap, buccodistal trough, sectioned, straight elevator/forceps removal, curette, Piezo 31 distal, copious irrigation, placed a 10x20 mm OsteoGen Plug into bony defect, 4-0 plain gut suture, 2x2 gauze, hemastatic.  The wound heals with apparent bone formation 8 months postop (Fig.2).
