Fabrication of Tap Drills

  1. Fabricate a tap drill corresponding to each implant
  2. Diameter of the tap is .25 or .5 mm smaller than the implant
  3. The handle of the tap is marked with 3 black bands, the same way as implant driver, to help choose abutment cuff (Fig.1,4)
  4. The shanks of the tap are long and short (Fig.2,3)
  5. For easy X-ray taking, make 2-piece tap (tap (Fig.5,6) and drivers (Fig.7))
  6. There is a recipient site inside the tap (Fig.5 white dashed line)
  7. To see 2 and 4 mm marks in X-ray, fabricate 2 slots in the tap (Fig.6 >)
  8. Fabricate latch type and wrench-type drivers (long and short, Fig.7)
