When the provisional is dislodged 2 weeks postop, some of bone graft is lost (Fig.8 ^). The graft may have been lost after loss of the perio dressing and that of the provisional. Therefore, the provisional should be fabricated big enough to completely cover the graft and cemented securely.
Fig.9 shows the implant/abutment after removal of the loose provisional and before reprep.
