Fig.2 (intraop occlusal mirror view): The septum (S) of this upper 2nd molar is thin between the mesiobuccal (MB) and distobuccal (DB) sockets.  P: palatal.

The whole socket is longer buccopalatally than mesiodistally.  A rounded large implant could close the gap mesiodistally, leaving buccal and palatal space open.  It is necessary to design a method to close the latter.
