Osteotomy in Healed Sites

A 68-year-old lady has several missing teeth (Fig.1,2).  She has agreed to have an implant at the site of #3 (Fig.3) to stabilize an upper removable partial denture (RPD).  The latter will be more stable if an extra implant is placed at #6 (Fig.1,2,6).  There is enough bone to place implants at #4,5 (Fig.4,5).  Bone density at these sites is low.  Osteotomy should be underprep with bone condensation.  Edentulous space is high so long abutments are required (9 mm instead of 3 or 5 mm (regularly used)).  Angled abutments should be prepared.

Tale photos for #3 implant without abutment and #6 edentulous area prior to #6 implant placement.  Also prepare a posterior PA device for #3 postop follow up.  Insert ball abutments to #3 and 6 implants to check clearance.
