The immediate provisional (Fig.5 P) helps keep the bone graft (^) in place (immediately postop).
The gingiva around the immediate provisional is healthy 4 months postop (Fig.6,7 P). There is a distinct groove (*) between the implant at the site of #26 and the root of the tooth #27.
