A 50-year-old man (smoker, bruxer) has chronic periodontitis.  The tooth #25 has been lost for 6 months (Fig.1).  The anterior occlusion is edge to edge with severe wear of the tooth #24. It is easy to fabricate an immediate provisional at the site of #25.
