The crest is lower distally (Fig.4 *); the gingiva is approximately 4 mm thick (arrowhead). The gingival cuff for a 1-piece implant is either 2 mm or 4 mm. For this case, the latter appears to be more appropriate.
Good exposure is necessity to appreciate the local anatomy (Fig.5, e.g. mesiodistal slope) and start osteotomy in a correct position and accurate trajectory. The ridge is 5.5 mm buccolingually. Therefore a 3 mm implant is planned.
