When the implants (4.5x17 mm and 5x17 mm) are just placed at the sites of #29 and 30, the crestal bone is flat (Fig.6 arrowheads).  Bone remolding will change the crestal bone morphology into a normal one (Fig.8, 10, 12).  The bone is so hard that the implants are not seated completely until next sized drills are used 3 mm less than the intended depth.
