The bone height of the lower right 1st molar of a 24-year-old lady is sufficient (Fig.1). The tooth has crown fracture after root canal therapy. The lingual furca pocket is 6 mm with tenderness. Osteotomy may be initiated slightly more buccally if the lingual plate is affected.
