Immediate Implant Induces Thick Buccal Plate Formation

Seven months post cementation (11 months postop) of immediate implant crown at #13, there is mild buccal plate concavity (Fig.1 axial section).   A layer of dense bone (Fig.4 *) forms buccal (B) to the implant, as compared to the coroanl section of the tooth #4 (Fig.2). 

There are two possible reasons for the dense bone: bruxer (difficult extraction, hard bone) and use of mineralized cortical allograft.
