Crack Tooth is Still Salvageable
Fig.1 shows the crack tooth at the site of #3 prior to extraction and immediate implant. After local anesthesia, the mesiolingual (ML) fragment falls out basically by itself. The mesiolingual margin is ~ 1 mm subgingival (Fig.2). Hemorrhage is from the pulpal chamber. It appears that the tooth is still salvageable with root canal therapy (Fig.3), possibly regional crown lengthening and crown.
With gingivectomy mesiopalatally with electrosurg, impression is taken. Fig.4 is taken 3 months post cementation when an implant is placed at the site of #14.
