In fact, the septum of this case is relatively thin (Fig.2*).  There is no septum between the buccal roots, probably due to pre-existing infection (<).  The buccal plate is defective.  The palatal socket (P) appears to be the most appropriate site for implant placement.  The angulation of the palatal socket allows the coronal end of the implant to be in the middle of the socket (buccolingually).  But it is tilted, not in the long axis of the tooth.
