A 4.5x17 mm tissue-level implant is placed (Fig.7: 60 Ncm) with the crestal bone (*) contacting implant.  Crestal bone starts to detach from implant non-thread surface 4.5 months postop (Fig.8 *) and appears to get worse 1 year 3 months postop or 10 months post cementation (Fig.9).  Closer look reveals that the crestal cortical bone (*), although thin, remains detached from the non thread implant surface, but reattaches to threads.  The cortical bone appears to thicken 1 year 8 months post cementation (Fig.10 <).
