One or Two Implants?

A 45-year-old woman has poor dentition with limited financial resources.  The teeth #8 and 13 need RCT, build up and crowns, while #7,9,10 need porcelain veneers.  Although the teeth #19 and 20 are missing, the patient insists on 1 implant, since the edentulous space has decreased (Fig.1).

The average width of a premolar is 7 mm (Fig.2).  The edentulous space is 13.49 mm (more than a molar (10 mm), but less than 2 premolars).  If the bone width (buccolingual) is narrow upon incision, two implants are to be placed (Fig.4).  Otherwise one implant will be placed (Fig.5).
