To prevent the adjacent and opposing teeth from drifting during osteointegration, an early provisional (P) is fabricated with minimal occlusal contact (Fig.18 (lingual view), 4 weeks postop). The patient is advised not to chew on the affected side. The tooth #14 appears to have supraeupted. The lingual restorative margin is supragingival (^) and easy for hygiene.
