Drill Stoppers for Implant at Healed Site

A 45-year-old man has lost the tooth #19 for about a decade (Fig.1).  In spite of this, the ridge is not particularly narrow.  The bone height is good for 14 mm bone-level implant (Fig.2).  After incision, initial osteotomy depth is 12 mm.  Insert a short parallel pin for occlusal check and a depth-marked parallel pin for X-ray.  When the depth is adjusted, use drills with stoppers to finish osteotomy.  If bone density is low, the drill is one size smaller than the expected implant.
