Since removal of the crown from #29 three years ago, the tooth has erupted in order to re-establish contact with the opposing dentition. The orthodontic band is intentionally placed more coronally (Fig.8) so that the neighboring teeth and the future implant at #30 will intrude the tooth #29. The occlusal reduction for the final crown will be reduced.
A copper band (*) is used to compensate for previous crown preparation.
