Definitive Restorations Splinted or Not

A 50-year-old man is a smoker (3 ppd) and has chronic periodontitis.  The tooth #31 was extracted several years ago, while #30 2 months (Fig.1,2).  There is less bone in height at the site of #31 than that of #30 (Fig.3).  The design of the implants at these sites are shown in Fig.4.  The models are being mounted for wax up and surgical stent.  While immediate provisionals are going to be splinted, the splinting of definitive restorations will be decided at the later stage.
