6-Month Membrane

A 49-year-old man returns for #14 and 15 implant impression.  The tooth #18 is buccally shifted with mobility, which is incompatible with #14 and 15 restoration.  The tooth has to be extracted with socket preservation (Fig.1).  A piece of 6-month collagen membrane is used to cover allograft.  The socket is healing 9 days postop (Fig.2), probably related to its small wound.  Three months and a half postop (Fig.3), CT shows bone healing (Fig.4 sagittal (thin) section, 5 (thick section); 6 (coronal (thin) section).  A 5x8.5 mm implant will be placed (Fig.7,8).
