Initial osteotomy is created in the mesial slope of the socket for 14 mm (Fig.5).   In fact the depth is insufficient considering heavy occlusion and local anatomy.  Extending another 6 mm may not violate the Inferior alveolar Canal.

The 2nd point is that when osteotomy is established in a slope, the larger diameter of an implant, the less distal bone of the osteotomy remains and probably the less stability of the implant.
