Control Implant Placement Depth

A 59-year-old man had #29 and 30 implants placed at the same time.  At stage of restoration, there is insufficient clearance between #30 abutment and #3 residual roots.  One month post #29 crown cementation, the patient will return for #3 implant placement.  To get enough clearance, the implant and abutment at #3 seem necessary to be placed as high as possible, while the abutment cuff and length at #30 need to be decreased.  To reduce sinus membrane perforation, control osteotomy depth precisely (Fig.1).  Take preop photo to show the insufficient occlusal clearance.
