Bone Condensation

A 52-year-old man appears to be a bruxer.  The tooth #2 is going to receive an implant (Fig.1), since the abutment at #18 becomes loose for the 2nd time.  Retighten it prior to #2 implant placement.  The site is wide enough (Fig.2 CBCT axial section) to hold a 6 mm implant in diameter (Fig.4 coronal section) and high enough to place a 13 mm implant in length (Fig.3 sagittal section).  Considering low bone density (100-400 Units), bone expanders will be used.  Use Magic Split to start incision and osteotomy.  After each step, check the center of the osteotomy, which should be 5 mm from the distal surface of the tooth #3.  Please measure the handle of each instrument (including drill) with Boley gauge and divide by 2.  The Tatum implant spacer is set to be 5 mm - the number after division.  Take PA when the implant is placed and measure mesiodistal position.  Also constantly observe the buccopalatal trajectory.  It is the best to make a surgical stent.
