A 45-year-old man has lost the tooth #14 for a while (Fig.1); bone height is 5.4 mm.  An extra wide and short implant is planned (5.9-6.9x6 mm, depending upon the buccolingual width).  Torus palatinus is large, suggesting that bone density should be high and that the short implant should work for this case.
